The Frederick County Area Intergroup includes meetings in
Frederick, Middletown, and Hagerstown, MD, as well as other meetings in Shepherdstown,
Martinsburg, and
Ranson, WV. Intergroup business meetings are held the 2nd Saturday of each month
10:45-11:45 a.m. at
the Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 W. Patrick St., Room 109, Frederick, Maryland.
The next Intergroup business meeting will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 10:45 a.m.
All
OA members are invited to attend.

 | The Wednesday night meeting is looking
for an Intergroup representative. If interested please contact your
Intergroup rep. |
| Currently, the Frederick Area Intergroup does not
have a Treasurer; therefore, all meetings are requested to send in a
check, not cash, of your meeting donations. We suggest that one person in your group collect the cash and deposit it
into their account and then write a check to Intergroup. The check
should be made payable to OA or Overeaters Anonymous and mailed to:

Elections will be held in June for our new IG
officers. We plan to take any nominations at the May IG meeting and
then will vote new officers at the June IG meetings.
Intergroup needs officers to run for Chairman, Vice Chair, Secretary
and Treasurer to take office in June. These four are the
essential offices that need to be filled for us to function.

| Intergroup is looking for someone to handle
literature orders. |
| OA Speaker Library:
Intergroup has started an OA speaker tape
lending library. Tapes available are: 4 cassette tapes covering the
OA 12 Steps and 12 Traditions and 1 cassette tape, "And Now a Word from Our
Cofounder" which includes 5 World Service Business Conference Speeches by
Rozanne S. A $5 deposit will be required upon borrowing the tape and will
be refunded when the tape is refunded by next Intergroup. Contact Eleanor at 301-662-7929 to borrow tapes. |

Some interest was expressed at the Intergroup
meeting regarding an unofficial OA website created a few years ago.
It is at http://frederick_oa.tripod.com/index.htm.
There is an e-mail loop that was started with only Frederick OA members in
1997 and has grown to be a worldwide e-mail loop. If you are
interested in joining, you can visit the web page dedicated to this at http://frederick_oa.tripod.com/wanaemail.htm
or try this link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WANA/.
The above link says the loop was created August 31, 1999, when
we switched over to Onelist which enables anyone to subscribe at will and
also unsubscribe themselves. You can select different options on how
you would like to receive messages: delivered to your e-mail address
or read them from the web page. After you subscribe, you can send a
message that everyone will receive by writing to WANA@yahoogroups.com. |
